Email Marketing Changes with Yahoo & AOL Email Addresses May Affect You

If you are using email marketing, take note of the recent changes made in the email marketing world last month. Yahoo and AOL insisted on a new policy that could prevent your emails from being delivered.
Here’s the deal: If you use any type of email service provider (e.g., MailChimp, Constant Contact, Infusionsoft, etc.) AND your “from” address is a Yahoo or AOL address, forget it.
Your emails will NO LONGER get delivered.
It’s a new rule developed to thwart specific spamming practices. But legitimate emailers are getting caught in the crosshairs.
Actually, it’s a good excuse to upgrade to a more professional “from” address. As a business owner, you’re better off having all your business emails come from your domain. Meaning, something like your.name@yourdomain.com.
NOTE: Even if you’re not currently using your domain for your website, you can still set it up so that you can use your.name@yourdomain.com.
