If you are using email marketing, take note of the recent changes made in the email marketing world last month. Yahoo and AOL insisted on a new policy that could prevent your emails from being delivered.

Here’s the deal: If you use any type of email service provider (e.g., MailChimp, Constant Contact, Infusionsoft, etc.) AND your “from” address is a Yahoo or AOL address, forget it.

Your emails will NO LONGER get delivered.

Email ChangesIt’s a new rule developed to thwart specific spamming practices. But legitimate emailers are getting caught in the crosshairs.

Actually, it’s a good excuse to upgrade to a more professional “from” address. As a business owner, you’re better off having all your business emails come from your domain. Meaning, something like your.name@yourdomain.com.

NOTE: Even if you’re not currently using your domain for your website, you can still set it up so that you can use your.name@yourdomain.com.
